Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

The Muswellbrook Public School P&C Association is a friendly, not-for-profit group dedicated to bringing together parents, carers, teachers, and staff to support the growth and development of all students at MPS. We work together through fun and meaningful fundraising efforts that help provide essential facilities and equipment for the school, as well as offering the services of our uniform shop and canteen.

We’re always excited to welcome new members! If you're a parent or carer of a student at Muswellbrook Public School, or if you live within the school’s enrolment area, we would love for you to join us. Whether you're interested in supporting the canteen, or just want to get involved in the school community, there’s a place for you here.

We are passionate about making a difference at MPS. In recent years we have facilitated mother’s day and father’s day stalls ensuring every student has the opportunity to purchase a gift for significant adults in their life. We have had student leaders attend our meetings seeking partnership for different opportunities which we have eagerly undertaken like new style MPS socks or new gazebos for sporting events.

We are also proactive in seeking funding for bigger projects from many different grant programs and often engage the wider Muswellbrook community in community events where we not only profile our amazing school but also raise funds to go back into our school for the benefit of all our students.

Our P&C general meetings are held twice a term, and we meet at 6 pm. Meetings are advertised through the school communications channels. If you join as a member, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the decision making process and outcomes that will help shape the future of Muswellbrook Public School.

What do we do?

The Muswellbrook Public School P&C Association:

• Supports the School: Provides financial assistance for resources, infrastructure improvements, and extracurricular activities.

• Builds Community: Organizes events that bring together students, parents, and staff, fostering a strong community spirit.

• Advocates for Students and Families: Serves as a voice for parents on school policies and initiatives.

• Operates Services: Manages the School Canteen and Uniform Shop to support school services and fundraising.
