Students from Grade 3 to 6 actively contribute to the decision-making processes undertaken at Muswellbrook Public through their involvement in our Student Representative Council. Our aim is to create a happy and safe school which children want to attend and where they can reach their full social, academic, emotional and physical potential. Muswellbrook Public School provides students with quality educational programs delivered by highly qualified, experienced and dedicated teachers.
We provide an educational environment that has a strong academic focus and unique opportunities that include applying computer technology effectively, outstanding sporting skills and allowing for valuable cultural experiences through our proficient drama and public speaking programs. A comprehensive camping program continues to be offered to students which builds their confidence and self-esteem with opportunities leading to effective decision-making and leadership which fosters their social responsibility.

An effective transition program has been developed that successfully supports the entry of new students into kindergarten and grade 6 into high school. We are well resourced and provide students access to the latest technology - a modern computer lab, interactive whiteboards (in every classroom in 2011) and innovative software ensures the best start for every child. At Muswellbrook Public School we have spacious attractive grounds with easy access to nearby local parks with a soon to be completed new eight-classroom learning environment.
Facilities include a large school hall, modern library, a connected classroom with video conferencing facilities, fully-networked classrooms and a specialised computer room.
